This past weekend saw the 4th show so far at the wonderful Pine Top location, an event that boasts the best footing in Georgia. The best was required from the location and all the riders as the weather didn't shine, in fact it was down right miserable and wet Saturday.

The show goes on though and after a ninety minute break due to a rain and lightning storm, delaying the three dressage rings and the early rounds of stadium, the event went on without a hitch. The organizers though, Glenn and Janet Wilson with the help of many volunteers pulled a rabbit out of their hat and still finished Saturday will all riders completing their scheduled tests.

Sunday morning brought overcast skies and some drizzle but by the afternoon things were looking a little brighter. The cross country course was well prepared and provided superb conditions for the final phase of the show and for all competitors to show their best.

Kadi EyKamp in Open Prelim showed consistency can be the key to winning with Double Rivers Basil Brush finishing on 39 points after gathering just 1.6 penalty points for time on Cross Country. Youngster Devon Brown on Dynamic Image was second with 46.4 after a rail in stadium and a few time penalties on Cross Country also.

In Open Training it was Donna Miller on ArkCeltic Art winning after a super dressage score of 21.6 and few time penalties ending on an even 24 points holding off the very consistent Susan Wainwright with 26.2.

In Training Rider Carol Odgen of Florida on In Rhythm came from about 10th after dressage with a respectible score of 35.3 to just hold off Tracey Corey on Super Nova with a final score of 35.5

All in all it was just another great show at the famous Pine Top Eventing facility.
